It's hard to say but they continue to experiment and apply for patents dealing with organic sensors. However none of these patents have seemingly gone anywhere - time will tell. These patents again, deal with the organic chemicals needed to provide the photoelectric conversion of the pixel. Japan Patent Application 2017-165708 To provide an organic compound that reduces a change in the absorption spectrum of an electrochromic (EC) element due to a change in environmental temperature compared to the conventional art.
