A look into Canon's support center for the Winter Olympic Games

Imaging Resource published an article on Canon's support at the winter games.

As always when it comes to the major events both Canon and Nikon users are well supported with rafts of replacement or loaner gear and insight repairs.

It's one of the core reasons why Canon and Nikon will remain as the top camera companies in the world.  While Sony, Olympus and Fujifilm will have a presence at the games, none of the match the depth of support that Nikon or Canon provides.

Canon's staggering numbers for the games;

  • 72 service representatives from 10 different countries servicing 10 different languages
  • They are expected to service over 1000 pieces of equipment during the games.
  • 300 Camera bodies and 700 lenses are on site

In addition,

Canon also shared more images from the figure skating and ice dancing venue showing off their remote robotics rig.
