Canon M200 coming within a month

A new rumor from Nokishita confirms that the Canon EOS-M M200 is coming out within a month or so - possibly in time to be well shipping for Christmas this year.

It will be curious if they go up to 32MP on the lowest end EOS-M, or will they leave it with the M50's generation of the sensor, and crop 4K, etc.  Canon historically with the 24MP DPAF sensor, brought it out to all the cameras over time, that way it effectively reduces the costs of the cameras, because the sensor is shared between so many different models.

However, with the M200, like the M100 before it, the cost of this camera is seriously low, as the M100 was announced in August 2017 for $599 with the kit lens.  Don't be shocked if this camera is simply M50'ed with crop 4K, similar to the SL3 as an example.

In what seems odd, Canon will have effectively updated, both non-viewfinder versions of the EOS-M camera line, and left the EVF versions alone, so far.

For now we know nothing about it, other than it seems it will ship in black and white models.
