Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 100mm F2.8 Macro with 1:1.4x

It's no surprise that sooner or later Canon will develop a 100mm macro lens, as this lens is a staple of just about any photographer's kit and in every single lens ecosystem.  Canon's EF 100mm macro was groundbreaking as it supported an image stabilization unit that worked fairly well at macro distances, unlike their competitors. I would expect Canon's RF 100mm to have some kind of special feature and carry on the tradition from the EF mount.

This patent application shows that instead of resolving down to 1:1 like most macro lenses, these lenses shown go down to 1.4x.

Canon RF 100mm F2.8 Macro

shooting magnification -1.00E-06 -0.5 -1.4
Focal length 100.81 65.87 36.01
F number 2.92 4.49 6.64
Image height 21.64 21.64 21.64
Lens total length 162.37 162.37 162.37
BF 14.66 14.66 14.66

In this next embodiment, I'm not quite sure what the speed of the lens would be advertised. it seems to go in opposite order where the f-number increases as the magnification increases, in this case, as the magnification increases the f-number decreases.  Could it be listed/assumed then to be a 100mm F1.4 Macro?

Image height 21.64 21.64 21.64
