Canon Patent Application: Kit lenses RF/EF-S

Seems Canon is still looking at ways to improve kit lenses, again, looking for ways to make them small and lightweight.  Even though Canon doesn't say specifically in these diagrams, there are some huge air gaps between the elements, making me wonder if they are also not looking at making it more collapsible.

There are some interesting lenses for the RF mount that make this patent application, and some EF-S Kit lenses for EF mount depending on the back focus distance.
