New Rumor: Canon to release a 100MP+ R5 next year

A new rumor from CanonRumors has surfaced that Canon is looking at releasing what we are calling the R5s in 2022. This has been a highly anticipated camera (especially by me).  According to the rumor source, Canon is looking at over 100mp for this camera.  What's interesting is that we just talked about the R5s last week, where my educated guess on this camera included over 100MP.

With DIGIC X able to process around 900MP per second, we should see this camera able to support around 8 fps. 8fps at 100MP? Sign me up.  Also, sign me up for bigger cards than I currently have.  I would not expect this camera to shoot anything other than dull line skipped 4K. This camera isn't meant for videographers, it's mean for the pure stills photographers that are still out there.

The rumor source also mentioned that it's not going to simply be an R5 body, but a camera that's suited for studio and landscape photographers. I have a feeling this is indicating that the fully articulating LCD will be different for this.  The hinge-based articulating screen is great for videographers, and not so great for stills photographers. I would expect to see a double hinge tilting screen so that when you tilt the screen up, it's behind the camera, not to the side.
