Prices of these lenses have gone upwards into the 150,000 or more price range, so it's unknown how much this lens will set you back if you want to be the lucky owner. It's still the longest autofocusing telephoto lens in existence and that's an incredible feat given it came out in 1993. (Zeiss makes a crazy 1700 F4.0 by custom order, but it's not autofocus capable). B&H Photovideo had one a few years ago and did this video about the experience.
